Western Kentucky University administrators and staff gathered Wednesday with representatives of Abound Credit Union on Wednesday to recognize the financial institution’s support of four areas on campus.
Abound Credit Union made a significant pledge of $105,000 to support the 2023-2025 Personal Finance Summer Camps, the Celebration of the Arts 2023 Title Sponsorship, the Textbooks for Troops and M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan for the Housing and Residence Life department.
“Each of the programs support our institutional mission to provide access and opportunity, to equip our students for success, to elevate our community and to provide a transformational WKU Experience for our Hilltoppers,” WKU President Timothy C. Caboni said in a news release. “We appreciate Abound Credit Union’s understanding of the diverse needs across our community, as well as the key role corporate partners play in fulfilling those needs by strategically sponsoring events and programs.”
The Personal Finance Summer Camp gives area high school students the opportunity to learn about financial literacy through hands-on, engaging activities.
The annual Celebration of the Arts exhibition invites South-Central Kentucky artists to have their work shown and judged, providing a vital professional development opportunity as well as community recognition of our region’s artistic talent and diversity.
